The faculty
The people who teach the institute.
Our deans, professors and studio chairs have shipped the software you already use — banking cores, health platforms, agentic products, mobile apps used by millions. They now teach the next generation to build even better.
Faculty of AI Software Engineering
Prof. Aurélien Mercier
Dean, Faculty of AI Software Engineering
Distributed systems, enterprise architecture
Aurélien leads the faculty that trains engineers to build the load-bearing software of the AI era. Before IASE he architected transactional platforms serving three of Europe's largest banks and one national health system, and he chairs the institute's Reliability & Cost review board.
Dr. Priya Raghunathan
Professor of SaaS Engineering
Multi-tenant systems, growth engineering
Priya shipped four venture-backed SaaS products before turning to teaching. Her studio at IASE has helped more than 180 students launch paying SaaS businesses in the last two cohorts alone.
Prof. Kwame Boateng
Chair, School of Mobile Engineering
Cross-platform mobile, on-device AI
Kwame's apps have collectively shipped to more than 40 million devices across Africa, Europe and Latin America. He teaches the craft of small screens with the discipline of enterprise systems.
Dr. Helena Vásquez
Professor of Cloud & Platform Engineering
Platform engineering, FinOps
Helena built and ran a three-region Kubernetes platform serving twelve product teams before joining IASE. Her students graduate with production-grade platforms they can hand a Fortune 500 SRE org.
Faculty of Artificial Intelligence
Prof. Marcus Lindqvist
Dean, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence
Foundation models, evals, alignment
Marcus co-authored two of the most cited papers on evaluation methodology for large language models. He now leads the faculty that trains IASE's next generation of applied AI engineers and researchers.
Dr. Adaeze Okafor
Principal Investigator, AI Research Lab
Multi-agent systems, reasoning
Adaeze leads IASE's flagship research lab and one of the most rigorous multi-agent research programs outside of a corporate lab. Her graduates ship agents into production at eight of the institute's hiring partners.
Prof. Yuki Tanaka
Professor of Generative AI
Diffusion, multimodal generation
Yuki's work on real-time diffusion pipelines is cited by three of the four leading image-generation companies. She teaches with an emphasis on craft, taste and control.
Faculty of Interactive Computing
Prof. Isabella Conti
Dean, Faculty of Interactive Computing
Real-time graphics, XR, game systems
Isabella shipped two BAFTA-nominated indie games and led the engine team for a major XR platform. She now trains the institute's real-time and immersive engineers.
Dr. Julien Armand
Professor of AI-Native Game Design
Game AI, procedural generation
Julien has shipped three AI-driven game systems that are now part of the standard curriculum in three other institutions. His IASE studio produces games that ship, not slide decks.
Faculty of Product & Innovation
Prof. Sofia Lindgren
Dean, Faculty of Product & Innovation
AI product craft, design systems
Sofia has led product for two unicorns and shipped design systems used by more than 30 million people. She anchors IASE's craft standards across every faculty.
Dr. Hendrik Nguyen
Professor of AI Product Engineering
Prompt engineering, UX for AI
Hendrik ran the founding product engineering team at one of the fastest-growing AI startups of 2024. He teaches the discipline of turning models into products users trust.
Prof. Lila Abramov
Professor of Design & Brand Systems
Design leadership, brand systems
Lila built the design language behind three household-name products. Her IASE studio graduates ship interfaces that survive scrutiny at the highest level.
Faculty of Enterprise Technology
Prof. Olumide Adékúnlé
Dean, Faculty of Enterprise Technology
Security, compliance, governance
Olumide has run security programs for two publicly listed enterprises and advised three national regulators on AI governance. He leads the faculty that prepares engineers for the most demanding operating environments.
Dr. Eva Heikkinen
Professor of Data Engineering
Data platforms, lineage, contracts
Eva built the data platform behind one of the largest streaming products in Europe. She teaches data as a first-class engineering discipline, not a spreadsheet.
Faculty of Business & Growth
Prof. Renata Oliveira
Dean, Faculty of Business & Growth
Go-to-market, revenue operations
Renata scaled two SaaS companies from Series A to public. She now trains the commercial engineers who turn IASE-built products into enduring businesses.
Dr. Daniel König
Professor of AI Marketing & Growth
Growth engineering, marketing systems
Daniel has architected growth systems responsible for more than $400M in tracked pipeline. His studio treats marketing as a codebase.
